CCNHS is Brigada Eskwela advocate Provincial Gov’t tops BE ’12 sponsorship

A GOOD LEADER IS A GOOD FOLLOWER. THE PRINCIPAL SIR JOHN R. MINA (LEFT) AND THE ISABELA GOVERNOR, HON BOJIE DY (RIGHT) EXEMPLIFY CARE FOR NATURE AS PART OF BE.

In consonance to the mandate of Republic Act 8525 or the Adopt-A-School Act of 1998, Cauayan City National High School (CCNHS) kicked-off Brigada Eskwela 2012 in May 21-25, 2012.

To promote Brigada Eskwela and to attract supporters to attain its objectives, the school tapped last summer the broadcast media-Bombo Radyo and Hot FM radio stations, to advertise the conduct of BE ’12. The provincial government of Isabela, under the leadership of Gov. Faustino “Bojie” G. Dy III poured out most of the unprecedented supports in the form of donations.

He himself did the ribbon-cutting in the opening ceremony of the Home Economics building he donated amounting to P1.4M to the school headed by Mr. John R. Mina together with the head teachers and the faculty. He also provided the school another four-classroom building amounting to P1.9M.

More stakeholders from the community responded to the call of BE ’12 who manifested the spirit of “bayanihan”.

Foremost were the parents who prepared each classroom for the immediate conduct of classes on June 4 as they cleaned and repainted classrooms and furniture, weeded and trimmed plants, organized their Brigada officers as ad hoc to look for and address the needs of their children’s classrooms.

Campus access road concreted

BANKING ON PHYSIQUE. THIS MAN FORCE FROM THE CITY OF ENGINEERING OFFICE PROMISES EASY ACCESS OF PEDESTRIANS AND MOTORISTS TO AND FROM CCNHS.

After a year of waiting, at last Cauayan City National High School has been prioritized to be funded by Cauayan City Government through Mayor Benjamin G. Dy, for the concreting of the road from main gate to CCNHS exit road which was started July 23, 2012.

The cost of the said project is P700,000.00 which was labored by the City Engineering Office of the City of Cauayan.

The project was to ease the burden of students, teachers, and all the employees of the school during rainy day season, brought by the muddy road.

According to the principal, he showed photos to the local government unit of Cauayan City to prove the plight of everyone coming to school during rainy days.

Brought by this change, sweet smiles beamed on the faces of the teachers, students and employees of this institution.

“This project is beneficial to all of us especially when it is raining because the road before was indeed very muddy.” is everyone’s excited confession upon seeing the road constructed.

In her speech during the Brigada Eskwela 2012 launching at Cauayan City National High School on May 21, 2012, Dr. Edna A. Pasamonte, OIC Schools Division Superintendent expressed her amazement towards the response and support of the parents and stakeholders to realize the Brigada Eskwela goals of the school as manifested in the flocking attendance of parents.

With Pasamonte as the keynote speaker, Cauayan City National High School, headed by Mr. John R. Mina, launched Brigada Eskwela 2012 through an opening program as primer to the 5-day preparation of the school for the opening of classes held at CCNHS grounds, May 21, 2012.

She also mentioned about seeing CCNHS metamorphosed as a very improved and developed school from its being pioneer to the present which she ascribed to the unity among parents, students, and the school government.

The program, which was attended by other key officials of DepEd Cauayan City Division, faculty, SSG, GPTA, parents and stakeholders from the community, was started through a motorcade in the city as strategic scheme of convincing the community to participate in the “bayanihan” for the school development.
